Recall the summer
Walking round the upland lake.
Peace to meditate.

Recall the summer
Walking round the upland lake.
Peace to meditate.

Momentary lapse
I didn’t see it coming
Autumn has arrived

A whispered refrain
Mournful on summer mornings
Wind through the reed beds

Scent of summer honeysuckle
Mixed with early morning dew
Stimulating all my senses
Cannot e’er compete with you
Walk with me in moonlight’s splendour
Where the honeysuckle grows
Watch the sunrise o’er the mountain
Bathing all in tender glow
Let us listen to the chorus
Of the morning birds in song
Singing out of love’s contentment
Oh may our love last that long
And, as all the world is stirring
Let us simply slip away
To our restful, peaceful garden
Till the morning turns to day
Oh, my love, may you feel comfort
In my arms may you find bliss
Sleep, awhile, in summer’s dawning
There to dream of love’s first kiss

Hiding behind clouds
Ready to warm new saplings
Sunshine falls as rain
